The 4Front® is a quiet, more responsive front-wheel drive power chair that features automotive-grade suspension with unprecedented comfort and ride quality. The 4Front's CASE (Caster Angle Sensor Encoder) technology and SRS (Smooth Ride Suspension) provide stability for smooth obstacle transitions and unmatched driving performance. The 4Front features standard speeds of up to 6 mph in the lowered position, and speeds up to 3.2 mph while elevated at 10" with our optional safe seat elevation. Standard LED fender lights allow you to see and be seen.
Through research, we found that consumers wanted a front-wheel drive chair with suspension that addresses real-world needs. The industry did not want another me-too product; they wanted suspension that addressed ride quality, performance, and safety. We looked at top suspension systems in other industries, especially automotive, and spent two years evolving what is now SRS (Smooth Ride Suspension) on the 4Front®.
The result is a power chair suspension that uses automotive-grade components and engineering to create performance and stability, with optimized user ride comfort. SRS is made up of four coil-over, gas-charged shocks that provide an ultra-smooth and quiet ride. The geometry in which the shocks are integrated into the power base allows independent wheel and caster travel, with the additional effect of stabilization delivering optional safe seat elevation up to 10" at 3.2 mph.
With the 4Front providing unmatched performance over multiple terrains, Q-Logic 3 offers an advanced safety traction mechanism that will sense any reduction in traction. If the chair senses a reduction in traction, it will automatically revert to a 1.2 mph driving inhibit to ensure safe driving. The normal drive speeds resume once the user brings the chair to a stop and the joystick is centered.
Therapists from around the country test drove the 4Front at our annual design forums. The overwhelming response was that it drives much smoother than other front-wheel drive power chairs in the industry.
