Community Outreach

Pride Mobility Products Corp. is proud to be an active participant in community outreach programs both locally and nationally and we were greatly honored to be awarded the 2009-2010 Outstanding Corporation by the Association of Fundraising Professionals' (AFP) Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter.

Pride helps the local community by making donations to organizations including the American Red Cross, Boy & Girls Club of NEPA, Commission on Economic Opportunity, Junior Achievement, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Wyoming Valley Children's Association, Blue Sky at Camp Kresge, WVIA, Ryan’s Run, Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, local libraries, local YMCAs, and many more.

Pride is especially honored to contribute locally to events including the Asthma Walk, Candy's Place Rainbow Walk, the American Cancer Society's Endure for a Cure, Heart Walk, MS Society Walk, Out of the Darkness Walk, and Susan G. Komen Race for Cure. Many employees show their support for these worthy causes by not only through event participation but by contributing to the organizations' overall efforts.

Employees Give Back To Their Community

Pride also expands its community outreach program to include national events and organizations. In the past few years, we have worked with the ALS Association, American Association of People with Disabilities, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, MDA, MS Society, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and many more.

In addition, Pride is pleased to support organizations and events through Affirmative Action for Human Resources. These organizations and events include Luzerne County Dress for Success, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, NAACP – National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Paralyzed Veterans of America, EOTC – Equal Opportunity & Training Center, Pittston Chamber of Commerce events, and Parks & Recreation (Mississippi) – Summer Movie Series.

Pride firmly believes the greatest gift a company can give to its community is to have an active role in maintaining a high quality of life for everyone who lives there.
